Tips from the Pros

It is important for job seekers to include newspaper sites like www.nytimes.com or www.boston.com in their job searches. These sites provide an integrated print and online strategy, so that all of the jobs posted in the newspaper can also be found online. Additionally, these sites provide access not just to local employment opportunities, but also to a national marketplace of companies that are seeking qualified candidates.
Most major newspaper sites, especially those for newspapers in larger cities, provide career-related articles, company information, e-mail alerts, and other tools designed to simplify the job search. In addition, job seekers can access the newspaper’s archived business and finance articles for more information about a specific company or the city’s economic climate.
